You may have noticed that the question steams have been simplified today. As announced last week, we have removed the “Open”, “In Voting” and “Reference” tabs. Now you’ll see two question filters – “Recent” and “Popular”.
Community voting for questions is no longer available but as questions now never close, askers can choose the best answers to their questions at any time. If the asker hasn’t chosen a Best Answer, the highest rated answer will be shown first, so be sure to keep rating answers with a “thumbs up” or a “thumbs down”.
We are aware that the removal of Community Voting is concerning for some users, as it may affect Best Answer rates. However, we want to assure you that this change is part of a wider sweep of changes to ensure that the best answers are properly rewarded.
We would love to hear your feedback on the changes and your suggestions on quality answers should be distinguished. Please share your ideas on our feedback forum.
